HELP WANTED/Children’s Program /Assistant Program Manager

Gallia-Meigs Community Action Agency is currently accepting resumes for a Full Time Assistant Program Manager for the Help Me Grow Program.  

Responsibilities and job duties are as follows:

  • Provide referrals and service coordination for families
  • Facilitate the development of family outcomes.
  • Assure that transition planning and services are received by enrolled children
  • Facilitate and participate in play groups and family education experiences
  • Maintain records and files as required by supervisor
  • Initiate and maintain regular contact with families, primarily in their homes
  • Establish a trusting relationship with families
  • Facilitate and participate in the development of IFSPs thru home visits.
  • Assist parents in improving their parenting skills to provide an environment for the children’s well-being and safety.
  • Assist in strengthening parent-child relationships.
  • Provide available family resources to match the needs of the families
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and monitor services within the required timeframes
  • Enter required information into Early Track within required timeframes
  • Facilitate and participate in activities to increase the public awareness of the program
  • Attend supervision sessions, meetings and trainings required by supervisor
  • All other reasonable and related duties as assigned by supervisor

Education/Qualifications:

  • Two year degree in relevant field
  • Working knowledge of infant and child development
  • Ability to identify family strengths and foster self-sufficiency and independence in families
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Proficient working with Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to work with families of all socio-economic backgrounds
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills, be detailed oriented, able to meet program deadlines and have ability to prioritize duties
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance and reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to pass requested background checks
  • Willingness to travel with overnight stays as required by supervisor
